Confession.  I’ve been drooling over craft rooms the last week.

We’ve been in this house just over a year, and I still don’t have a crafting area.  My stuff is piled in a corner in my room and my workspace is the dining room table.  It’s high time to change that.   My space will be limited to that corner in my room, but I need to add a table and some organization.

My inspiration journey always starts with “wow, I wish I had space for that!”   I totally drool over what everyone else has created.   By the end, I take away little snippets of inspiration from each room and figure out how to incorporate it into the space I have.

So here are 10 rooms I’ve been drooling over, the ideas I want to steal from them, plus my some-day plans for when I get a whole room to myself.  Be inspired and prepared to wipe away the drool.

Oh that workspace!  I love this idea with storage bins under the work table that extends wall to wall.  And that big pegboard for organizing craft supplies and tools.  I am definitely going to have to make a peg board!

Who wouldn’t love to have that storage cubby shelf?  It’s a great way to organize craft supplies so that they can easily be seen and found.  It’s officially on my to-do list to make a shelf like that.   Jennie has a lot of great storage ideas in her craft room.

Again I’m drooling over the wall to wall workspace.  Plus she has a cubby and a pegboard?  I love the clean look and totally wish I had the space for this.

I love this one for a few reasons.  Until my kids move out my craft space is regulated to a corner in my bedroom, and this would totally work.   And the pop of color with the pegboard is amazing.

This is another awesome full size room….. but that corner desk.  I love the storage shelves underneath and this is fully customizable to the space you have.  I will be using this idea to build mine.

Ultimately when I get a full room that I can dedicate to my crafts, I want something like this.  The counter space and storage along the walls, and a workspace in the center.  *wipes drool off of computer

Absolutely in love with the clean look of this one.  When I get a whole room it will be with upper cabinets too, a cubby shelf and a pegboard.  I can see it now.

craft room shed

I love this idea from Kelli at the Craft Shack.   She also didn’t have room in her house for a craft room, so she transformed a shed to her craft space.   Hmmm if I didn’t live in an area where it’s 10 degrees in winter and 110 in summer, I would totally do this.  But those underneath slanted shelves…..love.

No this isn’t a room, but it’s certainly a drool worthy closet!  If I could organize my supplies like that,  a corner workspace in my room would be sufficient.  Great use of small spaces.

The sheer amount of space Linda has is drool worthy on its own.  But my favorites are the personal touches in the room.  The chandelier, the strung lights, the wagon table.  It all just makes it feel like a cozy inviting space I want to work in.

Aren’t these great rooms inspiring?  I have three concrete ideas I’m going to do with the space I have now.  The rest, I’m just going to have to figure out as I go and see what space I have left.

How about you?  Do you have a dedicated craft room?  I’d love to see it!   You can send a pic to [email protected].   And comment down below which room is your favorite!
