Last week I rounded up 10 Crafty Gift Ideas for Tween Girls , and this week it’s the boy’s turn. Boys are a whole ‘nother ball game when it comes to crafty gifts. They usually prefer building (and destroying) to sitting and drawing. But there are still some pretty cool gifts that can tap into their creative side and spark their imagination.
And don’t you prefer creative type gifts over video games and toys that get broken? At least with these our kiddos will get experience creating and making memories in the process. And my favorite part? They are all under $20.

10.Build and Paint Wooden Cars. This kit makes three cars they can build, paint then race ’em and crash. K is getting this one for his Birthday. Recommended age 8+ with 4.4 stars.
Make and Paint your own Monster Truck. Along the same lines as the cars, but sometimes you just need a truck. Recommended age 8+ 4.8 stars.

Grow ‘n Glow Terrarium.
Dirt. A boys favorite. This is a perfect combo of art and science, and it will be under the Christmas tree for my son. recommended age 6+ and 4.2 stars.
Build Your Own Catapult Wars. K got this one for Christmas last year and it was a huge hit, it’s still played with today. Build and decorate your catapult and then go to battle. Recommended age 8+ and 4.3 stars.

Animal Carving Kit for Kids This will be under the tree for K this year. My grandpa was a wood carver and he always loved watching him carve. This kit is sandstone and includes everything you’ll need to carve your choice of animal Recommended age 6+ with 4.4 stars.
Smithsonian Sharks Craft Kit You get to mix, mold, and paint sharks. What’s not to love? Includes everything you need plus an activity book. Recommended ages 6-13 with 4.5 stars.
The Boys Book of Adventure This will also be under the tree for K (even tho he’s only 8). I flipped through it and it look like he is going to have a blast. It includes everything from how to read a map to crafts and projects you can do with common things. Recommended age 9+ with 4.8 stars.
Made by Me Glow in the Dark Power Balls I’m not completely sold on these, but after seeing a youtube video the kids have been begging for one. So this will be a together present and I’m sure they will have a blast. Kit includes everything you need to make your own power balls. Recommended age 6+ with 3.4 stars
Fold ‘n Fly Paper Airplanes Kit Comes with colorful paper and stickers to decorate your planes. Includes instructions for folding. Let me tell you even tho these are simple, they are a blast and really go far. Recommended age 6+ with 4.2 stars.
4M Tin Can Robot Someone brought one of these to church and all the boys had a blast with it. I have one wrapped up waiting for Christmas morning. Grab a tin can and build your own robot. Recommended age 8+ with 4 stars.
