It’s time to get ready for back-to-school! Going back in style is always a must and there’s nothing better than custom shirts and goodies that you can personalize for your child or their teacher.
I have a set of two pencil SVG files that you can use for free this school year. You can use them for your own personal use, if you’d like to buy a commercial use license, you can do so here. Commercial use will allow you to sell physical products that you make with the Pencil SVG design.

Everything is organized alphabetically with pictures making SVGs and projects easy to find. You’ll find this SVG under “P” for Pencils or under “B” for Back to School.
See this post if you need help downloading and opening the zip file and getting it into Design Space. On most computers, you’ll double-click the zip folder to open it.
Be sure to check out my other back-to-school SVGs here for 1st day of school shirts by grade.
The digital files will come with an SVG and a high resolution PNG file with a transparent background. If using this file to cut vinyl, be sure to upload the SVG version. You will need Silhouette Designer Edition if you have a Silhouette cutting machine.
All of my free SVG files are tested in Cricut Design Space and they are ready to cut. Simply resize to the size you need for your project and click the make it button.

How to Personalize Your SVG in Cricut
Load the SVG into Cricut Design Space. Size the SVG to fit your project by placing your cursor over any of the squares on the corners. Drag out to make it bigger and drag in to make it smaller.
Next click on text on the left menu and type out the name you want to use with your pencil SVG. Choose your font by clicking font on the top menu. Place the name over the pencil SVG and re-size accordingly.
Cricut defaults to a charcoal gray for the color of text. With your name selected, you can click on the color square on the top menu to change it.
If you’re making a project with HTV don’t forget to mirror before cutting.
